Well the Timaru Herald got it really wrong on the cafe on Caroline Bay- not only did they say I opposed it which of course I did only the locations I now found out that the council passed a motion 8 to 2 to look at potential location of a cafe in the sand dune area is given further consideration. For those interested the councillors for the motion was Brien, Burt, Jack, Lyon, Mulvey, Stevens, Wills and the Mayor. Those who opposed it was Earnshaw and Teirney. We must remember that if any cafe/bar to be successful it has to be placed where the public wants it not where the council thinks. Lets now hope the council will listen to the public and not the officers in the council
