There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days - TopicsExpress

There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days to be cured, not on the sabbath day.” The Lord said to him in reply, “Hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” ( Lk 13) Prayer: Lord teach me to see what You see in me. Thoughts: Every time I read this particular encounter Jesus had I always marvel at my brothers and sisters and pray that God always keep my eyes open especially when I am looking at myself. Sometimes in life when our worth and value are not secured in God we tend to operate like the Pharisees in the story. We dismiss the bigger picture and focus solely on us especially if we feel threatened in any manner. Therefore it did not matter that the woman was in distress for 18 years and it wasnt that a great exertion of effort on Jesus’ part, what mattered is that Jesus was in their mind undermining them, their importance and status. If they understood the bigger picture or rather kept focused on it, they wouldnt have said and done what they did. Anytime you are being made to feel, in others words the feeling is being triggered, terrible or not so great about yourself, go to God. Find your value and worth in Him and you accomplish this by evangelizing yourself with reminders of what He has done and will continue to do for you and with you. Remember that was Satan’s problem, he found we had too much clout with God and he is on a mission to prove how useless and worthless we are as creatures. Regardless of what the world has labeled you as, you are still top value. Picasso’s stick drawing is worth a lot because he was the creator, the analogy can be used with us and God.
