There are six instructors in this world who were my mentors in theatre- who helped forge me into the artist I have become: Dr. David Karsten, Dr. Russell Grandstaff, Dr. Maria Orlowski, Frank Rutledge, David Siljander and Gerry Blanchard. Yesterday Dr. Russell Grandstaff passed away. He was the fifth mentor I have lost. Only Gerry Blanchard remains of those wonderful minds and talents that gave me so much direction, training, fire and confidence. Dont lose touch with your mentors. They will be gone before you know it. I am blessed and so very grateful to have had them in my life. God speed to those who have gone to their reward- they certainly have earned that rest. Gerry, we are long overdue for coffee.
