There are those who would have you believe that everything around you is essentially an accident. That life on this marvelous blue ball is the result of a freak event which created the ancestor of all multicellular life on Earth. This belief makes it easier to live ones life with no concern for those we share this planet with. The belief that how we live our life today has consequences beyond our relatively short life span on this world does not exist because in their view point this world is all there is. Now lets not get confused, not everyone who believes we are but an accident live their life looking out only for themselves, many walk the righteous path. Conversely, we have seen throughout time millions perish or suffer at the hands of those who proclaim they are following the will of their god. At the end of the day how we live our life no matter what we believe or dont believe is our choice but in the words of the great poet Rodney King cant we all just get along.
