There are times during the year I think to myself, am I still growing as an artist? Am I creating enough? Have I been lazy? Do I practice what I preach? When I sit at the end of the year, as many people do, and take stock...lay it all out and look at the year thats been. The moments. The memories. The collaborations and the people that Ive met. It is then, I realize, that my year has been a fortunate year and I do a pretty good job of staying busy as an artist. But being an artist is not about, per se, staying busy. It is about fulfillment. Its about satisfying that itch within your soul to create. To express yourself. To translate a vision thats bouncing around your being to something concrete that can be seen, or heard, or shared. Your voice, out there. Without fear. Here were a few images that helped me express my voice in 2014, a year in which I ultimately felt fulfilled. I hope you enjoy.
