There comes a point in everyones life when he wants to connect to God. He experiences a void in his every action. He feels that all his efforts are going waste. He feels his prayers are not being answered. He is desperate to find kindness and blessings. He feels that there is no relationship in the world that can help him. It seems all relationships are broken. At this moment, there is a natural urge in him to find a person who can answer his queries, who can help find him peace. He wants a person who connects to God and help him in finding the true path. He needs a person who could tell him what is his destiny. At that time man runs here and there in desperation. He looks for shortcuts but he feels dissatisfied. He feels wealth, status, fame are all useless. He then treads on the path of God. He tries to find a person who could pray for him, who coud connect to Allah in such a way that his voice is heard by Allah at all times Search for such a man started right from the beginning of mankind. It is exactly this urge which led him to believe in Prophets. Now after the last Prophet (PBUH) the only one who can give such a guidane is a Wali-Allah, a Sahib e Inam ,A saint, A true sufi, a genuine follower of the Prophet PBUH. He is the same person for which we ask for in each prayer when we recite sirat ul lazina anamata elaihem.Only a Wali Allah can give answer to mans failings. He guides him to the Sirat -e Mustaqeem. He helps him find his destiny and guides him in his journey. He helps him understand religion. The search for Sahib e Inam is no ordinary search. The path of connecting to God is full of tests. There is a grave chance of going astray. There are demigods everywhere. At every step man is led on the wrong path because of lust, selfishness and eagerness. But if the intentions are true, If man perseveres and If he stays patient; He is surely to find the right path. He finds the right guide who protects him and puts him on the right path of Allah. That person is called a peer, a murshad, a wali, a spiritual mentor, a guide, a saint, an imam.
