There has been a lot in the news about Super Typhoon Haiyan heading toward Vietnam. Since some have already expressed concern, I thought I would clear up something. Vietnam is a very long country. I am in the south in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The storm is expected to hit the central coast and then head north toward Hanoi. I will be going to Da Lat this weekend but this also appears to be outside of the path of Haiyan. Although thankful the cyclone doesnt appear to be headed my way, It is very sad to see the population centers in its path. Some are still recovering from a recent typhoon. Keep Vietnams central coast and north in your thoughts and prayers and of course The Philippines.
