There has been a lot of talk about Police accountability in our country lately, with various shootings and all that has been going on in MO. I have several family members and close friends in law enforcement, and I can tell you what most of them would say. Each town is different and each Police Force is different. You will always have some great cops and some real bad eggs. Some cities pay their police more money, sometimes they dont get paid a lot and they dont want to put their lives on the line for meager pay. Its not an easy job, it can be a life threatening job, and when you consider how hard it can be and what the pay is most times... it takes a special kind of person to want to do the work. Would you be willing to do that job? Ive met some great police, like the ones in Chicago who saved me in 3 minutes flat when a Goon was trying to break into my apartment in Lincoln Square, and I waited terrified and alone while the criminal was hacking through my front door, until the Chi police showed up and apprehended him. They saved my life that day. Sometimes they can be very good, and sometimes they can be very bad.... before you judge, and Im not saying that there arent some bad ones out there, consider what kind of person it takes to put their lives in danger every day, sometimes for a minimal salary. Would you be willing to do it?
