There has been a violent eviction in the MARCA Cooperative San Isidro, in Bajo Aguán. There are 15 detainees and several wounded, including the president of MARCA who is hospitalized, he was a resent beneficiary of precautionary measures as prescribed by the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights just this past May 9th as reported by Vitalino Àlvarez, leader and spokesperson for MUCA. The campesin@s were not allowed to take their belongings and military and police were very hostile against the cooperative. Vitalino reported that yet another violent eviction approaches against Coopertiva Dispierta, also a member of MARCA.
