There have been some revisions to ordinance 14.063. I have attached the new version of the ordinance for your review. As a reminder we are hosting a second meeting for discussion this evening at 7pm at Indiegrove - 121 Newark Ave. The changes brought upon this ordinance in the most recent version are as follows: Section 2 - CONDITIONS A. No source of sounds from any amplifier shall be permitted on the Plaza or from any surrounding building, business, or establishment which is audible on the Plaza. B. Restaurant outdoor table service shall be permitted within the plaza, but only directly in front of the restaurant and if they provide their own tables and chairs. C. Delivery by motor vehicle may occur within the Plaza but only during the hours of 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., daily. D. Garbage, recycling pick-up and street cleaning within the Plaza should be scheduled prior to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. E. Hours: Motor Vehicles shall be prohibited within the Plaza between 10 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday and between 12 a.m. to midnight, Saturday and Sunday. F. Traffic and pedestrian walk signals shall be adjusted at the Grove/Newark and the Grove/Christopher Columbus intersections within the Plaza. G. Reasonable accommodation shall be within the Plaza for medical offices or other facilities with any special ADA compliance needs. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be enforced by the Division of Cultural Affairs and the Division of Traffic and Transportation. Section 4. The Division of Culture Affairs shall prepare a report containing the the following information: 1) a business survey demonstrating the increased revenue for the businesses within the plaza; 2) a police accident report demonstrating either stable or increased safety at Barrow/Newark, Bay/Newark, Bay/Grove (Manila), Morgan/Grove intersections: and 3) community feedback from the two community meetings to be scheduled at the sixth and eleventh month. This Ordinance may be renewed upon the review of the reports and approval by the ordinance of the Municipal Council. Section 5. C. This ordinance shall take effect at the time and in the manner as provided by law, and shall sunset one (1) year later unless extended by ordinance of the Municipal Council.
