There have been two recent deaths in EMS. I am so sorry to report the loss of 20 plus year Paramedic Cheryl Putman , formerly of Ada County Paramedics and Kuna Rural fire Protection District. She was a field paramedic, EMS/AHA instructor,and a mentor to so many that I myself look up to. I personally recall her as a kind, gentle lady in every sense of the word, intelligent and absolutley a master of the application of kindness and compassion in our field. I hope her family fairs well during this tough time. Also, Mike Smith, (Director - Paramedic Training at Tacoma Comm. College in Washington State), suddenly and unexpectedly, passed away this morning ...Mike was an educator, mentor, story teller and an emergency medicine health professional that was responsible for placing hundreds of paramedics in the field to care for those in time of need... He will be missed across the country! Sad day in EMS. --Admin Cole
