There is a certain scream which only a child can do or which a female can do. When a child does this scream, whether you are the childs parent or not, there is no doubt in your mind something just happened to this child or is about to happen to the child that can not be undone. It is the scream that tells you instinctively as a parent that your child didnt just fall down this time. It could possibly change their life forever. When a female does this scream there is a certain pitch and level to this specific scream. This is not your normal everyday type of scream. It is of a pitch, level and tone that whether you are female or male you drop everything you are doing instantly and go to intercede or assist. It is reserved I believe instinctively by females for alerting those around them that something of life or death is about to or just happened. Now where does this all lead to you might ask? I have a young teenage girl which lives across the street. She uses this scream for any reason at pretty much anytime. A dog barks at her, someone splashes her in the swimming pool, she falls down while playing tag... It is rather disconcerting to hear this. My natural instinct on this scream is to immediately drop everything and run to help. I really dont expect everyone to understand what this is all about. If you are one of those individuals then count yourself lucky you have never heard one of these types of screams. Whether the scream was by a child or a female. Now, if you are one of those unfortunate individuals who know exactly what I mean please do the following. If you have a teenage daughter/grandaughter and she is doing this scream, please for heavens sake address this with her immediately. Like I said, I dont expect everyone to understand this.
