There is a divine resemblance in chapter 23 of Genesis. Abraham - TopicsExpress

There is a divine resemblance in chapter 23 of Genesis. Abraham purchasing a resting place for Sarah, his most beautiful bride. It is evident how important it was that he purchase it, a legal and honorable transaction for ownership, that non could dispute from then till ever. There was a bride so beautiful the worlds kings wanted her for their own, but God alone protected her, and sanctified her. There was a death that set the stage for a promised purchase. There was a chosen one that purchased the resting place for his Bride in the promised land. In Him [Jesus] also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,...who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:11, 14 NKJV
