There is a fine line between applying the problem to God and applying God to the problem. This is, perhaps, the underlying reason for the epic, historical confusion in Church, about Church and the Christian walk. We worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24)...Church is not a Superbowl for God, Church is supposed to be a powerful center for change that empowers the people (pulpit and pew) to address the real issues, the personal issues that prevent us from living Superbowl lives (John 10:10, Hebrews 10:24-25). Casting our cares on the Lord does not mean casting responsibility on the Lord. But unless we deal with why Weeping will endure for a night (Psalm 30:5), we wont understand why and how joy comes in the morning. Unless we deal with the truth about the The valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4), we wont understand how to deal with the fears that evil uses to keep us from walking. Salvation takes confession, renewing our minds takes work. When resolving the issues that require anecdotal, holistic and real work become the objective of Church...Gifts, messages and ministries wont be about edifying and deifying leaders but instead, they will be about developing effectiveness in the people. Shouting doesnt produce growth, shouting is supposed to celebrate growth produced by worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth. Truth applied is Truth alive beloved.
