There is a misconception that martial arts training is all about learning how to beat someone up. That is, if training is done correctly, a by product that can be used for self defence. The real fight when training in martial arts, however, is against yourself. Its about fighting against your own perceived limitations. The thoughts of Im too tired, Im too old, Im not good enough, Im too busy are your opponent. Those thoughts are the person stood opposite you in the ring - they are the ones you need to defeat in battle. Once you have overcome these, you can then battle others. Have a great week, everyone.
