There is a reason why Frontier (FiOs internet and tv) is still in the stone age, they have been stuck at the same max bandwidth for over 4 years now, likely due to the outdated BPON equipment., whereas Comcast even though they have older infrastructure they continue to push the limits of copper cable, offering 4 to 5 times faster speed. The trade off is that Comcast is able to and WILL throttle your Internet connection speed based on how much data you download/uplpad. But Ive always found the customer service to be more aggressive at Comcast and that is why they are such a successful company in my opinion.
