There is a sea of faces waiting him in the Auditorium. The flood lights illuminate the concept platform as Bhimsen Joshi, rises from the greenroom to make his way. Ram he sighs, again and again, sending up a silent prayer as his mind gets preoccupied with the raga that he is about to present. The dies are cast as he faces the hundreds of listeners that have gathered from far flung places. His voice rock-hewn solid, his gayaki honed to perfection, it will be a stupendous performance, as always, like the many grand occasions which have happened like this before all over the country. Today is his 4th Death Anniversary. Pranaam to the great soul.
