There is a set of Lawyers in Delhi who are planning how to make the common man get awareness about law. It is important for the media to know as to who eats beef is not a matter of public interest. As per criminal law of defamation that person told the truth does not allow him to escape punishment. For example that Mr. Charuhasan has an affair with a film actress other than his wife could be true but as it is not a matter of public interest. All News papers must know that the truth of matter is no defence in criminal prosecution. Again that matter in which the people may show interest is not a matter of public interest. In the case the news paper Nakkeeran Vs the members who assaulted his office both parties are guilty if the matter is examined by a an honest and thoughtful criminal forum.
