There is a wild misconception that liberation in this world means doing whatever you want. Whats so wild about that belief is that liberation is supposed to be a positive condition, yet even criminals do whatever they want. They break laws without regard to the justice system. Is that idea of liberation positive? Some believe that living for Jesus means that a believers freedom is confined. That couldnt be the furthest from the truth. All humans are born to sin; in other words, we are born to break Gods law. We are born as slaves to that disobedience, not free roamers who can choose to follow God or not on our own will. Ever tried to stop doing all that God calls sin and been successful? The only way to break from this birthed curse of slavery is to surrender to Jesus and follow Him. True liberation is freedom from sin. True liberation is when someone is graciously given the ability do whatever God wants and reject whatever He despises. All other concepts of liberation is falsehood.
