There is an endless list of reasons to thank God for being our Heavenly Father, here are seven meaningful ones I would like to share with you: 1. He Knows My Needs Matthew 6:8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. -Needs (Even the ones we are not aware of. Sometimes we do not know what we really need.) -Desires (These are the things we want that will not hinder or harm us.) -Awakening of Desire (This is when God stirs our heart to desire the thing that He knows we really need.) -He has promised to meet all my needs according to the riches of glory in Christ Jesus. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 2. He Adopted Me Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God -We were orphans that were fatherless in this present world, then He took the initiative and set in motion through the cross our adoption. -I do not have to struggle with rejection, feeling abandoned, alone or worthless. He adopted me as His own and now I belong to Him. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 3. He Controls My Future 1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it isevident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. -This passage shows us that at the end of it all, Father God will have His children at His House enjoying His party. -My resurrection -My eternal home. -My eternal family. -There is nothing that can separate me from His love. My future is secure in Him. Therefore, I do not have to worry about tomorrow. I do not have to fret about frustrating circumstances. I do not have to fear defeat in the presence of mine enemies. My future is in His hands. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 4. He Comforts Me 2 Corinthians 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. -His heart is huge with compassion, mercy, and comfort when we are grieving. He truly is near to the broken hearted. -In our lowest points, under our heaviest burden, on our darkest day….Our Father is there to help us through. He sustains us. He gives us what we do not have to make it through something that we cannot endure. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 5. He Chose Me Ephesians 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, -None of us have to be like the child on the playground who is never chosen because their skill level doesn’t measure up. We are chosen in Him. We get the righteous perfection of Jesus Christ through faith in him. -He chose you, not because of your great love for Him but because of His great love for you. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 6. He Graced Me Ephesians 3:8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,……14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,…. -Paul was given grace to share the revelation of the church to the Gentiles. We all are graced of God with the grace to fulfill His purposes for our lives. -God’s grace is the desire and power He gives us to do His will. It is a gift from Him to us. THANK YOU DADDY GOD! 7. He Qualifed Me Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. -Ephesians one has a whole list of benefits that are ours because of what Jesus has done for us. This one in verse 12 tells us that we are ALREADY qualified through our faith in Christ’s work. We make an “F” on our report card but when we are saved, we get the “A” Jesus has made. What an awesome gift. An…..we are made partakers of the inheritance. IN other words, we are in the family and get the same inheritance that Jesus the only begotten Son gets. We are joint heirs. THANK YOU DADDY GOD!
