There is corruption at every level in the three BJP-led municipal corporations. During the 49 days of AAP-government, corruption was eradicated. Being inspired by the work of Arvind Kejriwal and ideology of his party, I am joining AAP, Tanwar, former chairman of south MCD standing committee, said.Tanwar, who promised to work towards cleaning politics and exposing BJPs misdeeds in the MCD, said, The saffron party has been ruling municipal corporations since seven years and converted it into a den of corruption.Member of AAPs Political Affairs Committee Sanjay Singh said leaders from other political parties who do not have any criminal record and do not face any serious allegations were welcome to join the party.Another councillor Reeta Chauhan from Bakhtawarpur ward, an independent who quit the BSP after the 2012 MCD elections, also joined AAP.Other leaders who joined AAP were BSP leader from Narela, Sharad Kumar Chauhan, former BJP youth leader Vijay Bansal and Congress leader from Mundka Dharampal Lakra.Accusing municipal corporations of falling short in maintaining cleanliness in the national capital, Sanjay said they had sent hundred photos of dirt and filth to all three MCDs, but officials didnt take any action.Asked about former AAP MLA M S Dhir joining BJP, AAP leader Ashutosh Srivastava said the party had conducted an assessment of his work and found that he hadnt done much for his constituency.Realising that the party will not give him a ticket time, he (Dhir) went to join BJP, Srivastav said.
