There is much to surrender in this life, and those of us who have learnt to fight for what we desire can find this a tremendous challenge, never knowing whether failure is to hold too tight, or give up too easily. What we must remember is that these trials are a great privilege. Many will live out their lives with little of consequence to concern them. For us to set our sights on bigger, more pervading goals of the spirit and the society at large-and then to be affirmed in our pathway by the obstacles that exist along it, shows us irrevocably that we are truly making a difference to ourselves and those around us.
