There is no single company or brand that was as important to my geeky teen self than RadioShack. We even had one in Barbados. I would spend hours going over the catalog and visiting the store for various pieces of electronic equipment and components. If I couldnt get it on the island Id try to get my dad to get it on one of his many trips abroad every year. Never did have the TRS-80 (Trash 80) since I was a ZX-81 geek (or Timex 1000 as it was known in the states), but from the practice circuit boards to the voltmeters, ohmmeters and various antenna equipment for my major social outlet - two-way radio - this company will always hold a special place in my heart.
