There is not a word for this event, so Ill just day Happy Bedford Day, held in memory of Dr. James Bedford, the first person to be cryonically preserved with intent of future resuscitation. The service was done free, as they had asked for a volunteer. Modern cryonics organizations perfuse cryonics patients with an anti-freeze (cryoprotectant) to prevent ice formation (vitrification), but the use of cryoprotectants in Bedfords case was primitive. He was injected with DMSO, so it is unlikely that his brain was protected. However, the RNA would be preserved, and a time may come when it may be leached from his flesh, at which point it might be injected into a mind wiped criminal or clone, or read by a computer and downloaded as software. So, have a nice life, Doc. Funny, looking for a video, and found this, Dr. Kaku addresses a question posed by (my friend) Sassan K. Darian: youtube/watch?v=eUjWcOGb8AE
