There is so much good and so much to love in this world I sometimes can’t understand how people find time to hate things or even find enough things to be upset about Guess he hadnt been reading the news for the last EIGHT years out of Mexico... you know streets literally running red with blood, complex paramilitary operations undertaken by the cartels against their foes and the government, innocents getting slaughtered and their bodies put on display as intimidation, etc etc. The image of dead teenagers blood outside of a nightclub where dozens were gunned down by guns Eric Holder had given to the Mexican cartels in Operation Fast and Furious stuck in my mind. Didnt really see any coverage of that massacre in America because 1) it makes some people look bad and 2) It happened outside of America. It is a well documented phenomenon that people are just terrible at judging risk. Whats funny to me is that hanging out with some of the toughest and most battle hardened SOF vets whove fought in the toughest battles and emerged victorious from battles countless times... will peace out at first sign of serious, but meaningless trouble. Know the risks and the purpose of what youre doing: motorcycling through Mexico with limited knowledge of the land for your vain adventure blog just doesnt seem worth it, IMHO.
