There is so much injustice and tragedy in the world. For most part, we wish we could do something but we feel impotent. But if we look closer to home, and if we look at ourselves in the mirror, we may as well find that some of these tragedies are just around the corner. And we can do something very tangible to prevent them because we sit, perhaps uncomfortably, at their root. My wish for 2015 is the same I have had for years now. I wish, with all my heart, for Fortress Europe to stop robbing the breath and the heartbeat of men, women and children fleeing war, persecution and poverty.
