There is some confusion from some users on this page. We have not claimed that officer Jesse Hill purposely murdered the woman. The investigation is continuing but much of the information being provided by news media, witnesses and law enforcement are conflicting with one another to try to prove what is right and wrong so its hard to say whether he purposely done it or not. However we found it neglectful that the officer continued firing based on the original story that was published that he continued firing as he was falling down. Aiming a weapon at a violent target and keeping the finger away from the trigger while not firing are both conceal carry and police training basics that should be followed. We posed a question about whether the officers department-issued body camera was turned on or not and whether or not he was wearing it at the time of the incident. The footage would be critical in determining what really happened. However the Burlington Police Department refused to release any investigative material nor prosecuted Officer Dale Wyatt for assaulting a citizen despite the citizens video being published online while Dale Wyatts body camera remained offline. That incident occurred earlier in November 2014. Police Chief Doug Beaird made a similar promise about releasing information once the investigation was complete but later by not releasing the information like he promised.
