There is this common understanding upon many that a person who carries a gun in a revolution is considered a Mujahid in the correct term islamically, so when people see what is happening in Syria they think oh no, the Mujahideen are fighting each other, actually this cant be further from the truth, the Mujahideen are those who perform Jihad in accordance with what Allah SWT has stated in the Holy Qurán and The way of our Prophet PBUH. A Mujahid falls under strict conditions and guidelines and not to be confused with a fighters or in a much more correct term with what is going in Syria a Mercenary or even an Armed bandit. Those who carry that pre Baath party flag are not fighting for the right cause, they may as well be considered revolutionaries but they cannot be classified under a term Mujahid. Once we start to filter those fighting on the ground as their true and correct name you will find something interesting will start to be drawn in front of your own eyes. Dont be fooled by what people say, what is going on with regards to the fighting on the ground is not a Fitna, the Fitna is in our minds where people messed up our understanding of the terms and definitions.
