There is this wonder I have discovered. It is a type of meditation and prayer that is so intimate that I cease to exist here. I fly away to places above the constant pain and overwhelming fatigue, to a planet that was made in the likeness of earth, save one small detail -- it was never touched by the hands of mans sin. There I discuss all the trivials my mind can think of (how dim must a light wave be before it ceases to be light?), and laugh at my ponderings. It is because of this relationship that when I come back, I rigorously fight the tendency for my praise and worship to become nothing more than ceremony or some feigned religious exercise. No, I must, in all my dealings with my Beloved, attend to my worship is all seriousness so that this journey is a testament to how it should be (and could be) for all those who so desperately need Him. With my level of suffering, this gift has become profoundly precious to me and this life would not be bearable without it.
