There is unconfirmed report of rifts between the Samburu and Yaaku communities in Laikipia North though we are still delving in to ascertain the actual problem. Perhaps it finds its route from political discontent following plans to stage a 10 days demo and collection of 17, 000 signatures to recall a politician. The last time an infighting happened within Maa groups is way back during phasing out of Laikipiaks from the surface of Earth; that is mediaval. In this modern era, with a full presence of functional government, we do not expect the volatile situation to go out of hand. It is just unacceptable, uncivilized and barbaric! If at all this information is anything to go by, authorities need to move in quickly. We would also like to urge our brethren and sistren in Laikipia to do their politics with decorum and stop hooliganism as that takes things to extremes.
