There it was again late this afternoon. Standing beside the road waiting for me ( between my rig and the bridge in the video.) This time it took off as soon as I pulled over, went to a tree for about a minute, then flew out on the bridge to stand at the edge...its safety spot. I went down to see if I could see where its roosting at night. Theres a pile of sticks up on the ledge at the end of the under-bridge ( the pitch black part of the video.), but didnt see a bunch of bird-poop on or near it. When I got back to the rig, I screwed the super-zoom lens to try for the few numbers I havent yet got off of her/his band. No such luck, he/she flew somewhere unknown before I could get back on the road. Since my last sighting. its lost a couple wing-feathers, so probably will have a hard time if it decides to fly home. Im guessing a critter almost got it while under the bridge at night. Soon I wont be working in that direction, so I may have to wonder forever about this soul waiting at the bridge.
