There once was a man who saw that the issues of peace and justice, of equity and freedom, of black and white, were actually all one. So they killed him. Thats the way it goes in this world. So once a year there is a day to remember this man, and for the powers that be to give lip service to the ideals he died for. Thats the way it is in this world. You see, he was black. In a world that has chosen to accept the fallacy that the color of ones skin has more meaning than where ones immediate ancestors came from you can not have a man such as King show us our failings. Gets in the way of our collective delusions. So, in this world of illusion, Radio Free Hippie will spend six hours reminding us, through the power of music, that there are no distinctions between people beyond their individuality. Six hours of Jazz and Soul and Rhythm & Blues and more that was manifested by one group of people but speaks to all. Radio Free Hippie, Sunday overnight from midnight until six on 91.7 FM, WMUH, Allentown, and for those in far off lands over the woods and through the rivers of digital downloads at muhlenberg.edu/wmuh .
