There seems to be a bit of confusion as to when Rosh Hashanah - TopicsExpress

There seems to be a bit of confusion as to when Rosh Hashanah [Head of the Year] really is. Millions will be proclaiming Shanah Tova [To a Good Year] in our Fathers 7th month on Yom Teruah [Day of Trumpets] in the Fall. How do I know it is the 7th month, and not the 1st? The Eternal one says so Himself. In Lev 23 24 it is written, Speak to the Children of Yisraěl saying, In the SEVENTH new moon, on the first day of the month, you have rest, a remembrance of Teruah [sounding, shouting, blasting] a set-apart gathering. When the Yahudim/Jews were exiled from Babylonian captivity, they brought heaps of traditions with them, the Babylonian New Year was just one. Rabbinic Judaism still adheres to this misplaced Head of the Year. Its adherents follow this tradition also, as they do not know any better. Sadly, many confused Christians and Messianics are also picking up the tradition of men that make our Fathers Word of no effect. We are warned not to add to, nor take from the Words written in the book. (Rev 22:18-19) Beware Beloved.
