There seems to be only one way to deal with all this conflict about disagreements about law, culture and norms: People who claim to be religious should be willing to submit themselves to religious law on top of civil law. The willingness to submit to a readily enforced religious legal code would be a credible signal of commitment, and those committed to their religion would certainly be willing to submit to such additional legal codes. And public libraries, perhaps parents would have to take responsibility for what their kids come across. The public cannot be expected to bear the cost of additional supervision.
