There was a celebration tonight at the Philharmonie... a red - TopicsExpress

There was a celebration tonight at the Philharmonie... a red carpet, and a separate entrance were provided for the dignitaries invited to celebrate this fantastic, and fantastical edifices anniversary, but truth be told, only a single person truly graced this shrine to the wonder of human imagination; there was her, and then there was the rest of us. She wore her hair up; it was almost boyish, yet at the same time somehow uniquely, and irresistibly womanly. She was beautiful, but it was in no way a conventional beauty. She had a presence about her; a certain je ne sais quoi. Her deportment, the way she held herself, even when partially hidden underneath her grey winter coat, spoke a thousand words, before, in reality, a single one had been uttered. With each movement she seemed to strike a pose, and my mind snapped away, voraciously, like a camera of the paparazzi. Her huge green eyes pleaded understanding, affection. When she did speak, she spoke my name, and the way she spoke it - like it was never spoken before - sent shockwaves through my veins. There was not an ounce of calculation in my unconscious, instant obsession. She impressed me; she startled and confused me, but above all she enthralled me. There was a celebration tonight at the Philharmonie, a thanksgiving for a miracle of creation... and at the same time the Berliner Philharmoniker and their public celebrated the fiftieth birthday of their iconic home.
