There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples:‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. ’ Matt 28:2-7 2 Tout à coup, voici quil y eut un violent tremblement de terre: un *ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, sapprocha de la tombe, roula la pierre de côté et sassit sur elle. 3 Il avait lapparence de léclair, et ses vêtements étaient aussi blancs que la neige. 4 Les gardes furent saisis dépouvante: ils se mirent à trembler et devinrent comme morts. 5 Mais lange, sadressant aux femmes, leur dit: ---Vous autres, nayez pas peur; je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, celui qui a été crucifié. 6 Il nest plus ici, car il est ressuscité comme il lavait dit. Venez voir lendroit où il était couché. 7 Puis allez vite annoncer à ses *disciples quil est ressuscité dentre les morts. Et voici: il vous précède en *Galilée. Là vous le verrez.
