There was a woman selling potato microwave sacks at a street fair - TopicsExpress

There was a woman selling potato microwave sacks at a street fair last summer. They were small cloth bags which she said that you dont have to pierce your potatoes when you use the bag to cook them in the microwave. Bought one. Ive used it plenty and it worked well. I usually cook two taters at a time. Yesterday I made one for Meg, then decided to make one for myself. Ding! As soon as I opened the microwave the bag started to smolder. It burst into flames as soon as I pulled it out! It smelled something awful and smoked profusely. I took it directly outside and dropped it on the pavement. It was burning on two ends, so I thought I would smother one side first, then the other. The bag was heavily padded and burst right back aflame when I rolled the thought to be smothered end over, thanks to the ND wind. Still in my socks, I carried the God forsaken tater and its firey cell to the water spigot. I might as well have thrown it onto the soggy ground and been just as effective. The flames were extinguished with a good dousing but the kitchen still smells terrible.
