There was once this man named Decarte. Hes famous for inventing the telescope. He also trained men who served in the army how to sword fight...any way long story short, he was also a philosopher. He tried finding some kind of proof to show the world that mind and body ARE NOT the same. He explains that it is impossible to not doubt your exsistence. He says that our mind is not matter, and that our brain is. For awhile Decarte would come to the conclusion of what if you were the only human being in this world, think about it. What if every memory, everything you have ever picked up, ate, drank, sat down on, slept in, or even the people around you was all a made up by a devil who has successfully tricked our senses, fooled us in believing that there was a world, when really, theres nothing around us. And that all of this is just a hallucianation....I really enjoyed this conversation in my philosophy class. It really made me think, in fact I havent stopped thinking what if sense I got out of class the other day.
