There was such a great turn out this year for our Summer Reading Program at the Library. If you missed it this year, make sure to participate next Summer. During 5 weeks, Children met every Monday at Rose Barracks and every Wednesday at Tower Barracks Library, where they turned-in their reading logs, spun the wheel to win prizes, read stories and performed a variety of craft activities along with skill gaming. Some of the highlights of the weekly programs included a professional puppet and magic show, sponsored by PM events and a working dog performance demonstrated by SGT Bill Powers (K-9 Unit). At the final party at the Performing Arts Center on Tower Barracks their staff and volunteers performed a one act play, named “story hour at your library”. After the award ceremony, children enjoyed the jumping castle provided by one of our sponsors, ADAC. Thank you to all who participated and made the Summer Reading Program such a success.
