There will be the lighting of the Unity Peace Flame at the New tree of peace just a few minutes walk from the Rainbow Bridge on Goat Island. The Unity Peace Flame will be merged with the Imagine Peace Flame (named after the song by John Lennon) that will be taken to the United Nations on September 21st before its next destination of Jerusalem. The Imagine Peace Flame will light the world The Sacred Fire of the “Imagine Peace Flame” is created by combining sources of fires from the 4 directions (North, South, East and West), with the oldest sources of the flames coming from an eternal coal fire 6,000 years old, known as the “tears of a woman sent down by sky God” and another coming from a volcanic fire at least 300,000 years old, known as Pele the Goddess of Fire. This is the flame that will be used to unite humanity in peace. The “Imagine Peace Flame” is older than the Pyramids of Giza, older than Stonehenge, to before the invention of writing, to before the invention of the wheel, to the before civilizations developing in the Mesopotamia/Fertile crescent region (around the location of modern day Iraq) and older than the civilization of China. Imagine!!! The “Imagine Peace Flame“ signifies the hopes and dreams of the citizens of Imagine Nation for the unification of the 4 directions, for peace, for the protection of Mother Earth, to remind us that we are all brothers and sisters in the human family, for the next 7 generations. Let’s begin civilization again to build a more compassionate society of brotherhood/sisterhood of humanity. Let us have no more physical borders of fear, and no more internal barriers for peace!
