Cause youre not, youre not alone- Red...Although this awesome song by Red is referencing the amazing love of our Savior it is also talking about each and every CHRISTian in the context that we should be exemplifying the same love to those He has entrusted us with in our family, friends, and anyone He places in our path to minister to. We can do this with words of encouragement. These simple words can be life changing for many and can carry such a huge rippling effect that could have an eternal effect in the lives of many more other than the one in which we have encouraged. Hebrews 10:25 tells us to not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but to encourage one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.- not only with the biblical instruction to encourage others but we also need to do this with a sense of urgency because we do not know when that day will arrive for so many. I love this verse from Hebrews 3:13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We as believers and non believers alike need to hear positive and uplifting comments to make it through the tough days that we encounter and if we are doing these things with and through the love of Jesus Christ- maybe, just maybe others will see Him in us and want this joy, peace and love that can only come through a relationship with Him. I am blessed with so many wonderful people in my life who encourage me by not only their words but also their actions and I am thankful for each of them. I urge each of you to begin each day by asking God to not only show you those who need to hear the encouraging words but to also give you the boldness and love to share with them how much you appreciate them...sometimes NO words can be just as discouraging as negative comments- be Jesus to someone today- you never know, your words could be life changing!!!
