"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 One of the great problems of the church is we have not made disciples of those we bring into the church. So many times when a person is baptized into the faith, they are then left on their own to learn about how to live a Christian life. But the definition of a disciple is: One who embraces and assists in spreading the teachings of another. (American Heritage Dictionary) To truly take on the "Great Commission" as the church calls it, time must be spent in Bible study, and one on one counseling to teach the new believer how to become a discipler. "The first turning point is a crisis of belief: you must believe God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. Adjusting your life to God is the second critical turning point in your knowing and doing the will of God." ~ Blackaby When the rich young ruler asked Jesus what he must do to be saved, he knew who Christ was, but could not make the adjustment required to follow Christ. Where are you in your experience of God? Is it time for some adjustments? If so, you must trust who God says He is.
