Theres a law in California that you cannot fire a live-in Nanny. - TopicsExpress

Theres a law in California that you cannot fire a live-in Nanny. You must evict her, which could take six months to one year or more. In the interim, if you harass her while she is living in your home — which she could claim with her attorney — you will be fighting for your life! She could sue you for your ENTIRE ESTATE, and own your home, your retirement accounts, and all assets attached to you. California is not the state to hire a live-in nanny, and Im thinking, to hire a nanny at all — because she could claim the arrangement was live in, when it was not. Then she could move in for 6-12+ months while you evict her. I suggest reading the article below if you have children and live in California.
