Tomorrow morning on the Dave Perkins Show, my guest in hour three is Shelley Leighliter, one of my original Red Bus A co-riders… Our Labor of Love projects move all around the country, and next weekend our group was scheduled to appear in Yreka, CA, her hometown, to help out some local folks in need…. but then the fire came through the town of Weed, just up the road from Yreka. Suddenly, hundreds of people were displaced when their homes burned flat to the ground. All sorts of miracles happened… the fire blew between two OCCUPIED schools, for example… and nobody died or was even injured. But almost 200 homes were destroyed, and the need there is great. Our crew of happy volunteers is showing up precisely at the right time to help.
