Theres a lot going on this weekend in Frisco Square! Stop by and take part in some of the festivities! The Lone Star Storytelling Festival kicks off Friday night, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. with Favorite Stories, geared for enthusiasts at least nine-years-old. On Saturday, Sept. 27, performances run from 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. A special Bedtime Stories performance will be held Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. for families with younger children. Laughing Night will be held at 8 p.m. when tellers will tickle your funny bone. This year’s teller lineup includes Willy Claflin and his pal Maynard Moose, Angela Lloyd and Rev. Robert Jones Sr. Proceeds go to the Frisco Public Library Foundation lonestarstories.org The Fireball Run rolls into Frisco Sept. 27, beginning at 9 a.m. in Simpson Plaza, located in the heart of Frisco Square. The celebration features a car show, live DJ and music, plus the Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame exhibit. As the starting line city, Frisco will celebrate ‘Green Flag Day’ on Sept. 28, from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. in Simpson Plaza. Two Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will have the honor of waving the flags, signaling to drivers the start of the Race to Recover America’s Missing Children. FIREBALL RUN is an eight day, eight city, 2000 mile life-sized trivia game and America is the game board. Frisco Mayor Maher Maso and Councilman John Keating make up one of 40 competing teams. Every team is assigned a child missing from their home town region and tasked with distributing posters featuring the missing child. Mayor Maso and Councilman Keating will leverage their participation raise awareness for 7-year-old Wendy Diaz, a Dallas child last seen on April 22, 2012. fireballrun Around the corner, the Harvest Craft Fair will be held at the Senior Center @ Frisco Square, 6670 Moore Street, on Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Road Closures: Streets within Frisco Square will be closed Saturday, September 27, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and again on Sunday, September 28, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
