Theres a moment that I imagine comes in every cat owners life, where the cat has forced its way into whatever you are doing and forces you to deal with it. For instance when Im painting and she crawls up on my lap then onto my shoulder and makes me hold her... and I think... So this is it... this is my life now... and you see your life before you, your remaining years spent doing nothing but holding the cat until she decides to get off of you, which may take decades...
