Theres a scene at the beginning of the movie Shawshank Redemption - TopicsExpress

Theres a scene at the beginning of the movie Shawshank Redemption where one of the newly arrived inmates (the little fat guy) breaks down his first night in the prison. He begins sobbing and repeating to no one in particular, I dont belong here ... I want to go home ... I want my mother. When the spirit soul begins to awaken he realizes that somethings not quite right with the world hes in and the life hes living. He begins to understand that hes imprisoned and is suffering and he desperately wants to be released and go home. Like the frightened prisoner at Shawshank he cries out for deliverance. From the pamphlet On Chanting Hare Krishna ... The chanting is a spiritual call for the Lord and His energy, to give protection to the conditioned soul. This chanting is exactly like the genuine cry of a child for its mother’s presence. Mother Hara helps the devotee achieve the Lord Father’s grace, and the Lord reveals Himself to the devotee who chants this mantra sincerely. (Srila Prabhupada)
