Theres always that lovely moment after a dinner-party when (sometimes with the much-appreciated assistance of some of the guests - others of whom helped with the set-up and the food!) the house returns to the way it was before. Table-linen cuddled together in the laundry area, backyard tent broken down (it was a marvelously warm evening, with a gorgeous little crescent moon), portable tables folded up and put away, patio chairs returned to the shed, wineglasses washed. Cats released from lockdown. Now I have a whole day of school prep yet to do.
