Theres been an awful lot of tragedy in Alberta over the past few days. But before the world decides its an unsafe place, may we all be reminded that our media is governed by our government. And thus our views are always being directed (or diverted) from things with intent of instilling fear. If its not influenza, its Isis, or randomly exploding fuel-filled trains, or shootings, etc. Im not anti-government (completely). 😉 But Im also not stupid. I take pride in the fact that I never take anything for face value and I research a LOT and ask a LOT of questions. I LOVE Alberta, but you can rest assure that such crimes DO in fact happen throughout this country all the time! We just dont always hear about them because political agendas like to cover things. And when theyre exposed like those in recent days, its to divert our attention from something else or to instil fear to help gain something for them soon. Just remain vigil. Please dont be sheep... Having said that, my heart goes out to all the victims, their families and loved ones. May they rest in peace.
