Theres been lots of talk about #water recently. To me it seems a little silly that such a fuss is made over a few litres bucket of water being used in a charity campaign when we use/waste so much in our society. The truth is, everything you do uses water. You are about 60% water. Each day you consume about 500 litres of water, directly and indirectly. In my opinion, what you use, versus what you waste in life just depends on how much you know, and are really conscious of. So I got to wondering, how many people are really aware of how much water is being used/wasted every day. We focus a lot on our domestic use of water, but how many of you know that your choice of diet has the biggest impact on your water consumption? How many of you realise that your choice of clothes has a huge impact too? What about the materials you use in your work? The type of transport you use, where you live, etc... All this has much more of an impact than whether your choose to empty 5 litres on you head or not. Would you like to know the truth about your own water footprint? You can find out here using this quick calculator: waterfootprint.org/?page=cal/waterfootprintcalculator_indv (this will tell you in cubic metres per year - one cubic metre is 1000 litres)
